Having recently removed twenty-plus years of old paint and uncovered the original Brickwoods tiles, the bar is currently being redecorated in the colours of the London and South West Railway. The long term aim being to replicate as much heritage as they can.

7pm, Wednesday 13th. Pub is reopening for a 'preview' evening. This event is invitation/ticket-only, and follows a long period of closure and a full refit and building works to fix previous problems with drains and other issues. The full re-opening of this pub, which is the only one in it's local area, will follow in time for the weekend (Might be Thursday 14th, but don't hold me to that). From talking to their new chef, it will continue as a real ale/real cider pub, and I will be investigating on Saturday Lunchtime, as soon as I can get away from Ladbrokes, just up the road (I finish at 11:40, so I'll be in at 11:42).

Apparently planning approval has been granted for the demolition of the pub as part of a larger development. However, the pub is still open at the moment and serving good real ales. So get over there and use it before it is flattened!

Pub now has Bowman Ales Swift One and Wallops Wood on regularly plus other interesting guest beers (for example Bowman, Triple fff, and Palmers 200)

Under new management from October 2008, this Enterprise Inn now has Otter Bitter and St Austell Tribute plus a guest beer from Hampshire or the Isle of Wight.

Reopened after an electrical fire

After a massive refurbishment by Marstons, the pub reopened early in July after being closed for nearly a year. Ringwood Best and Marstons Pedigree available on handpump plus up to three guest ales on gravity (Banks's Hobgoblin and Ringwood 49er on my visit).

Although having just one real ale most of the time, beers from Oakleaf and other interesting beers alternate with national brands such as London Pride.

Pub now has new long-term licensees. Badger Best and Tanglefoot available on handpump.

Reopened monday 29th june as a free house, selling Butcombe, Otter and triple fff Mooondance, all very good, also sells weston bounds cider

Pub reopened under new management in May. Now 3 real ales on offer, Caledonian Duechars IPA, Fullers London Pride and a guest beer.
