Pub (by PSEH CAMRA)
A substantial single bar pub just off the main road through the village. The pub is named after the founder of Lords Cricket Ground, who retired to the village in 1830 and is buried in the local churchyard. The pub garden includes an old well. The pub is a short walk from the site of West Meon viaduct, which used to carry the Meon Valley railway line over the river.
