Pub (by PSEH CAMRA)
This imposing Edwardian pub on the edge of town has gained a good reputation for its quality food and drink. Up to three cask beers are sourced from local micros, with a handpulled cider also offered. A range of bottled beers from the UK and abroad can also be found, plus a good selection of quality wines and spirits. The south-facing front terrace and secluded courtyard garden are popular in warm weather. The pub plays host to a number of local organisations and offers private hire space. Major sporting fixtures are shown on television. Diners are advised to book in advance to ensure a table at busier times. Breakfast available from 9am weekends.
