The Lawrence Arms
The Lawrence Arms (by Geoff Marsh)
Dating back to 1887 this street-corner pub's exterior retains some traditional tiles and lanterns. The L-shaped bar faces a large lounge area. Very much a friendly community pub, there are weekly meat raffles and quizzes and other events (see the pub's Facebook page for details). The bar features one regular beer and a rotating selection of five guests plus a bottle shop. There is also a good cider selection with up to 20 boxed for their cider festivals. Food includes toasted sandwiches and Sunday roasts (check Facebook page for details & booking). BranchCcider Pub of the Year 2024
