Closed Long Term

A modern style pub in the town centre. The main bar has polished bare floorboards and some of the walls are decorated with old postage stamps. Only card payments accepted. May open later.

Recently sold by auction for £425,000,.

Dates from 1774. In the early 20th century, the author H.G. Wells regularly dined and wrote here.
